Lisa Perrine Brown is a designer, artist, and educator who enjoys the company of travelers from all over the world. Lisa has lived abroad in Sweden and India.

Gary Brown works in the IT business and loves making breakfast, bowling, and supporting Lisa's dreams. Gary is an active member of Rotary in Traverse City, MI and his focus is the international committee. He enjoys fishing, golf, morel hunting, nature hikes, & canoe rides. Gary is an emerging fine craftsman & chef.

The couple are world travelers who love exploring and empowering others who also have the travel bug. We love entertaining people in our Leelanau County Bed & Breakfast. We love sharing our knowledge of Sleeping Bear Dunes trails & beaches, how to walk our labyrinth, great places to eat in Leelanau county, morel hunting, our favorite Leelanau wineries, antique shops, Traverse City, and so much more. 

Lisa is a supporter of sustainable principles, uses organic and Free Trade foods & local sustainable products whenever possible, is a little bit Bauhaus, is intrigued be the Rudolf Steiner movement, likes Wabi-Sabi principles, is a proponent of the arts, loves sustainable gardening, is a fiber fanatic, product designer, and loves to cook.

The local Brown family consists of Lisa, Gary & Michael our wonderful teenage son. Mike is currently a freshman at U of M. Gary's older kids, David & Jennifer are both happily married and living downstate. Our pets are Stanley a beautiful kind golden retriever, and Otis & Rhada, two sweet dogs that Lisa rescued while living in Mumbai, India. We all love living near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park, hiking the beautiful trails, and swimming at Good Harbor beach in Lake Michigan. This beautiful vacation spot we consider our home and we look forward to sharing our up north escape with you.
